Rona’s incredible cycling challenge

We’d like to say a huge thank you to 7-year-old Rona who took on an awesome cycling challenge for Back Up and the Bat Conservation Trust!

After her good friend, Henry, sustained a spinal cord injury following a sudden illness, Rona wanted to find a way she could help. She chose to take on a fundraising challenge for Back Up, the only charity in the UK that has dedicated services for children and young people with a spinal cord injury.

In May, Rona cycled over 100km through the Netherlands. She pedalled across cities, countryside and canals over five amazing days, wonderfully supported by her family and friends.

So far, Rona has raised over £2,500 which will be spilt between her two chosen charities – Back Up and the Bat Conservation Trust. And there’s still time to support this fantastic fundraising challenge by making a donation today. Thank you so much Rona – you’re an absolute superstar!

Do you want to get creative and raise funds for Back Up too? Whether it’s an active adventure or a brilliant bake sale, design your own challenge today and help us make sure no one has to face spinal cord injury alone – start your fundraising journey.
