Our Skills for Work course increases the confidence of people affected by spinal cord injury, who are considering returning to work.

By offering you the opportunity to enhance your CV, receive expert advice on job hunting, and practice interview techniques, all within a supportive and encouraging environment, we’ll provide you with the tools to navigate the labour market and recruitment processes to return to work.

This course isn’t about finding a job. It’s about making sure you have the knowledge and confidence you need to work towards your employment goals.

The course will cover important topics, such as:

– Past work experience, expectations and challenges
– Skills identification
– The importance of personal brands
– Job hunting
– Motivation and confidence building
– CV writing and covering letter
– Interview skills
– How and when to discuss your disability and support required

The course is made up of live Zoom workshops and Q&A sessions including, discussions from people who have lived experience of finding employment with a spinal cord injury, and takes place of two and a half days.
