The theme for this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities is “Break Barriers, Open Doors: for an inclusive society and development for all”.

The day is run by the United Nations and aims to further raise awareness of disability, to promote accessibility, remove all types of barriers, and to realise the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities in society. You can find out more here: http://www.un.org/disabilities/default.asp?id=1607.

To mark this day, Back Up has put together a photo gallery to show what breaking barriers, opening doors and an inclusive society means to us.
