Back-Up offers a great range of services for those with spinal cord injury and opportunities for able bodied volunteers to support our work.

Wheelchair Skills

Back-Up’s spinally injured volunteers run 3-hour sessions in the majority of spinal centres across the UK.  These are aimed to give inpatients the skills and confidence to use their wheelchair across all terrains; including ramps, step and curbs.  Why not view our full calendar of skills sessions this year.

Courses - (Winter / Summer)

Back-Up runs a range of courses for spinally injured participants and able bodied volunteers ‘buddies’ to experience a variety of different activities amid a social week. The courses range from one day, a weekend or are a week long and run through out the summer and winter months.  Check out our range of courses from the left hand menu.
