The Back-Up Trust is committed to improving the school provision for young people with spinal cord injury. Therefore, we commissioned The Thomas Coram Research Unit at the Institute of Education, University of London to carry out a piece of research into the experiences of young people with a spinal cord injury in mainstream schools.
A number of young people, parents and school and health professions were interviewed about their experiences. The research is now complete and we are pleased to offer you the chance to read the major findings highlighted in the research summary. Click on the link below!
If you have any questions or would like some advice then please contact Eric in The Back-Up office on 020 8875 6728.
The Back-Up trust would like to thank The Charles Wolfson Charitable Trust and The True Colours Trust for their financial contributions for the research project.
