Meet our 2016 #RideLondon team

This weekend, some amazing cyclists are taking on Ride London to raise valuable funds for Back Up and help people affected by spinal cord injury.

Meet the #BackUpTeam...

Michiel Vaal

Taking part in his fourth Ride London event, Michiel is raising funds for us in support of his twin brother Maarten, who was left permanently paralysed after a skiing accident in 2015. Riding alongside his buddy Clive, he can't wait to get on his bike for another memorable weekend of fundraising.

Clive Shackleton

Clive will be taking part in his fourth Ride London this year. He will be riding in support of his friend Michiel's twin brother Marteen. He is looking forward to soaking up the atmosphere during the ride and embracing the support of the public.

Aristides Bernard-Grau

Aristides will be donning the lycra for Ride London, after seeing the amazing support Back Up gave to his friend Alex who attended a wheelchair skills training sessions following his spinal cord injury. Inspired by the services we offer, Aristides wants to raise awareness of a great cause and put himself through this physical challenge.

George Cselko

George is taking on Ride London after hearing about the support that we offer to everyone affected by spinal cord injury. He will be helping us to keep on delivery vital services, as well as making sure that those newly injured take on new challenges in life with enthusiasm and optimism.

Richard Moult

In our anniversary year (we are celebrating our 30th anniversary!), Richard is getting on his bike for Ride London to raise vital funds for Back Up. He will be helping us to inspire people affected by spinal cord injury to live the lives they want.
