Welcome on board Phillip!
Back Up is delighted to announce that Phillip Schofield is to be our new patron for 2012. The presenter of ITV's This Morning first heard about Back Up's life changing services through our trustee, Andy Walker, who appeared on the show to discuss his role on Emmerdale earlier this year.
Andy, who is a high level tetraplegic, played the part of Steve Kelly in the popular soap Emmerdale and tried to show Jakson Walsh, played by Marc Silcock, that he could still enjoy life despite being paralysed. This positive outlook which Andy carries through to real life, and which reflects the spirit of Back Up, impressed Phillip so much that agreed to be our patron. He will support us in our goal to inspire people affected by spinal cord injuries to fulfill their potential and enjoy life to the full.
Welcome from everyone at Back Up Phillip! We are all thrilled to have you on board.
