Spinally injured volunteers

Teaching wheelchair skills

To be a spinal cord injured volunteer you have to have been through and benefited from the Back-Up services and courses as a participant. Back-Up is committed to volunteer training and here are some of the ways we hope to capture your skills for the benefit of others.

“I have seen so many people’s lives changed, even by learning the smallest wheelchair skill. Apart from teaching the sessions, it is important to interact as part of the group and this means that I too have learnt new things each time I attend a course.” Janice (40) wheelchair skills trainer T7
