We are looking to fill a position in our Spinal Injury Liaison team based in Wandsworth. The role is primarily to support people with spinal injury, both in and out of hospital, through their adjustment back to a fulfilling life. This includes developing relationships between Back-Up and designated UK spinal centres, and coordinating activity in conjunction with these centres. The role is part time and salary is FTE £20k - £23k based on experience. We encourage people with a spinal injury to apply.

Back-Up Buddy
For able bodied volunteers that can give up time to attend a day, weekend or
week long course and assist in outdoor activities such as skiing, kayaking,
water-skiing, hillwalking etc
Nurse
Nurses are needed on all courses to provide medical assistance if needed
Carer
Qualified carers with experience in SCI needed for our week long residential
courses
Spinally injured mentor
Have life skills that you think would be helpful to someone else coming to terms
with their injury?
Wheelchair skills trainer
Are you a tetra or para with good wheelchair skills and would like to train others
on how to tackle ramps, steps or curbs?
Spinally injured youth visitor
Could you visit your local spinal centre and talk to a child or teenager?
Fundraising
Spinally injured or able bodied volunteers are always needed to help with fundraising committees or help at an event.
