Buddies helping on a Keswick course

Day, weekend and week long residential courses

If you have a family member, friend or colleague affected by spinal cord injury, or just want to put your skills to good use we have a variety of courses for you.

Every course we run needs able bodied volunteers or ‘buddies’ to make sure the courses run smoothly.  You are not required to provide medical or care support (our nurses and carers do that) but you will need to be fit and active, have a sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude. Your problem solving, communication and team work skills will be put to great use!  You too will be able to take part in ALL activities (or watch if you prefer) and you don’t have to be ultra sporty or love the outdoors.  We run a range of courses that suit young and old and all interests.

‘I went on the first course as a buddy expecting to help others, but it also inspired me to improve the quality of my own life when I got back’ Buddy (25) – Operations Manager

Other ways to get stuck in

We also benefit from those who donate their time and efforts at balls, dinners, outdoor challenges as well as office skills.

If you want to put something different on your CV, meet new people or make use of your time and skills go to Get Involved to find out more.
